This was a fantastic rental located in Ocean Beach. We truly enjoyed the home and the daily walks on the beach with our dogs off leash. The best features were the location/proximity to the dog beach, the private backyard with hotub (not many houses in the area offer this space), garage parking, very comfortable beds/bedding. Location was just inside the ocean beach area with nearby restaurants, convenience store, coffee/breakfast stands. The home feels private with a surrounding fence and backyard. The walk to the beach was very easy about 10-15minutes. Things to do in San Diego felt close by within 15-20 minutes driving (Padres, Zoo, Shopping mall).

We stayed in Casa de Lujo for five nights while visiting San Diego for a family wedding. It was the perfect location for two adult couples and a senior citizen (Mom) but would be great for a family as well. The layout of the home is nice for family gatherings, with spacious, comfortable living rooms and a large dining room. The lower-level bedroom was also perfect for our senior citizen mother, so she did not have to navigate the main stairs. The primary suite is amazing! The gorgeous pool and outdoor living areas were perfect to enjoy some down time in between wedding activities. We had a few issues but the management company, and especially the owner, were very responsive. The owner herself came to the house to fix an issue and was quick to order a few house supplies when it was noted that we could not find them. Casa de Lujo, a lovely home in a beautiful neighborhood, is close to shopping, highways, and parks, and was a great home away from home during our visit to San Diego.

Studio

Stayed for a month. Literally right off the freeway so getting to/from places by car is a breeze. An easy short walk to Little Italy and all that has to offer. Just past that is a trolley stop for more transit options. And then just a touch further is Waterfront Park and The Embarcadero where you can walk/run car-free for miles. The only downside is that every so often I would wake up late at night to the sound of neighbors playing loud music or their dog barking. It was infrequent, but something to consider if you're a light sleeper. Everyone in the apartment complex is friendly. There was a minor issue with the studio and Vacasa was very responsive and had someone out the next day to fix it.
